The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.214.21

लक्ष्मण उवाच ।
जन्मान्तरोपचितसंशयनाशनेन जन्मान्तरोपचितपुण्यशतोदितेन ।
जातोऽद्य मे मुनिवचःपरिबोधनेन जातोऽद्य मे मनसि चन्द्र इव प्रकाशः ॥ २१ ॥

lakṣmaṇa uvāca |
janmāntaropacitasaṃśayanāśanena janmāntaropacitapuṇyaśatoditena |
jāto'dya me munivacaḥparibodhanena jāto'dya me manasi candra iva prakāśaḥ || 21 ||

Lakshmana said:—It is by reason of your removing the doubts, that had been inherent in and inherited by me in my repeated births; and it is by virtue of the merit, that I had acquired in my former births; that I have come to know the truth this day, by the divine sermon of the holy sage; and to feel the radiance of a holy light in me, shining as brightly as the cooling beams of moonlight.
