The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

गुरुस्तत्राहमभवं शिष्यस्त्वमभवस्तदा ।
पृष्टवान्मां त्वमग्रस्थ इदमुद्दामधीरधीः ॥ ३ ॥

gurustatrāhamabhavaṃ śiṣyastvamabhavastadā |
pṛṣṭavānmāṃ tvamagrastha idamuddāmadhīradhīḥ || 3 ||

As I sat there as your preceptor, and your sitting in my presence as my pupil; you then had put this very question to me, with the gravity of your understanding.
