The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.207.23

तस्माद्देहस्य नियतौ यथेतौ ब्रह्मणा चिता ।
स्पन्दास्पन्दौ कल्पितौ द्वौ स तथैवानुभूतवान् ॥ २३ ॥

tasmāddehasya niyatau yathetau brahmaṇā citā |
spandāspandau kalpitau dvau sa tathaivānubhūtavān || 23 ||

Hence as Brahma in his form of the mind, thinks of the action of living and quietus of death bodies; so are they thought of by all mankind.
