The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

रूढानामप्यरूढानां किं प्रयोजनमुच्यताम् ।
असदासीज्जगत्पूर्वं सत्संपन्नमनन्तरम् ॥ २२ ॥

rūḍhānāmapyarūḍhānāṃ kiṃ prayojanamucyatām |
asadāsījjagatpūrvaṃ satsaṃpannamanantaram || 22 ||

Tell me sir, how do you reconcile such discordances in the Vedas, which mention the existence of a being and not being in the beginning;and tell us also that, the Not being existed before creation, and then the Being or creation was born of the not being.
