The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवाल्मीकिरुवाच ।
एतच्छ्रुत्वा वसिष्ठस्य वचः संसदि पार्थिवाः ।
सिक्ता इवामृतापूरैरन्तःशीतलतां ययुः ॥ १ ॥

śrīvālmīkiruvāca |
etacchrutvā vasiṣṭhasya vacaḥ saṃsadi pārthivāḥ |
siktā ivāmṛtāpūrairantaḥśītalatāṃ yayuḥ || 1 ||

Valmiki related:—Upon hearing these words of the sage, the assembled princes and lords of men in the court, felt a sang froid or coolness in their souls, as if they were all besprinkled with ambrosial waters upon them.
