The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यथा नरोऽनुभवति निद्रायां दृषदः स्थितिम् ।
परमात्मानुभवति तथैतज्जडसंस्थितिम् ॥ ८६ ॥

yathā naro'nubhavati nidrāyāṃ dṛṣadaḥ sthitim |
paramātmānubhavati tathaitajjaḍasaṃsthitim || 86 ||

As a man sees in his mind, both the dream of moving bodies as well as immovable rocks in his sleep; so does the Lord perceive the ideas, both of the stable and unstable in his intellectual tranquillity.
