The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.185.1

कुन्ददन्त उवाच ।
जरन्मुनिरपीत्युक्त्वा ध्यानमीलितलोचनः ।
आसीदस्पन्दितप्राणमनाश्चित्र इवार्पितः ॥ १ ॥

kundadanta uvāca |
jaranmunirapītyuktvā dhyānamīlitalocanaḥ |
āsīdaspanditaprāṇamanāścitra ivārpitaḥ || 1 ||

Kundadanta rejoined:—The old sage having said so far, closed his eyes in meditation; and he became as motionless as a statue or picture, without any action of his breath and mind.
