The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.184.36

वहन्ति देहयन्त्राणि ज्योतींषि प्रतपन्ति च ।
वायवो नित्यगतयः स्थिताः शैलादयः स्थिराः ॥ ३६ ॥

vahanti dehayantrāṇi jyotīṃṣi pratapanti ca |
vāyavo nityagatayaḥ sthitāḥ śailādayaḥ sthirāḥ || 36 ||

It is that blind impulse, that impels the members of the body to their respective actions; and makes the luminous bodies to emit their light; it causes the winds to wind about in their continuous course, and makes the mountains to stand unmoved in their proper places.
