The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

संकल्पनगरे यावत्संकल्पसकला स्थितिः ।
भवत्येवाप्यसद्रूपा सतीवानुभवे स्थिता ॥ ३३ ॥

saṃkalpanagare yāvatsaṃkalpasakalā sthitiḥ |
bhavatyevāpyasadrūpā satīvānubhave sthitā || 33 ||

As we seem to enjoy our ecstasy, in the fairy land of our fancy; so we are betaken by the delusion of this unreal world, under the belief of its reality.
