The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

द्रव्ये द्रव्यान्तरं श्लिष्टं यत्कार्यान्तरमाक्षिपेत् ।
तद्वदन्तस्तथाभूतचित्सारं स्फुरणं मिथः ॥ २५ ॥

dravye dravyāntaraṃ śliṣṭaṃ yatkāryāntaramākṣipet |
tadvadantastathābhūtacitsāraṃ sphuraṇaṃ mithaḥ || 25 ||

As the mixing of one thing with another, produces a different effect in the mixture; so doth the union of the mind with the organs of sense, cause a variety of impressions to be imprinted in the intellect.
