The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.184.7

सस्पन्दोऽपि हि निःस्पन्दः पर्वतोऽपि न पर्वतः ।
यथा स्वप्नेषु चिद्भावः स्वभावोऽर्थगतस्तथा ॥ ७ ॥

saspando'pi hi niḥspandaḥ parvato'pi na parvataḥ |
yathā svapneṣu cidbhāvaḥ svabhāvo'rthagatastathā || 7 ||

The substantial forms of things, that rise in the unsubstantial essence of the intellect, are as the various forms of substances, seen in the dreaming state of the soul, and all which are utterly forgotten in its state of sound sleep—susupti.
