The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विज्ञप्तिमात्रकचनं देहं सैव फलं ततः ।
पश्यत्यनुभवत्यत्ति देशकालशतभ्रमैः ॥ ३१ ॥

vijñaptimātrakacanaṃ dehaṃ saiva phalaṃ tataḥ |
paśyatyanubhavatyatti deśakālaśatabhramaiḥ || 31 ||

The body of every one is the evolution of one's intelligence, and it is this body which enjoys the consequence of the curse or blessing that is passed on one according to his knowledge of it; whether it is in his eating or drinking or in his feeling of the same, in all his wandering at all times and places.
