The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इदमन्यदथेतेषामसमञ्जसमाकुलम् ।
शृणु किंवृत्तमाश्चर्यमार्यकार्योपरोधकम् ॥ ४३ ॥

idamanyadatheteṣāmasamañjasamākulam |
śṛṇu kiṃvṛttamāścaryamāryakāryoparodhakam || 43 ||

Hear now a wonderful event, which happened to them at this time; and which presented itself as an obstacle, towards the achievement of their noble purpose.
