The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.182.30

दुःखिताः प्रत्यये तेषां चक्रुस्ता दारुणं तपः ।
शतचान्द्रायणं तासां तुष्टाभूत्तेन पार्वती ॥ ३० ॥

duḥkhitāḥ pratyaye teṣāṃ cakrustā dāruṇaṃ tapaḥ |
śatacāndrāyaṇaṃ tāsāṃ tuṣṭābhūttena pārvatī || 30 ||

They in their great sorrow of spirit, made painful austerities to the memory of the absent lords; and conducted a hundred chandrayana vows and rites, to the satisfaction of the goddess Parvati.
