The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.182.9

वाराणसीं तृतीयस्तु चतुर्थोऽगाद्धिमाचलम् ।
इहैव ते परे धीराश्चत्वारोऽन्ये परं तपन् ॥ ९ ॥

vārāṇasīṃ tṛtīyastu caturtho'gāddhimācalam |
ihaiva te pare dhīrāścatvāro'nye paraṃ tapan || 9 ||

The third has gone to Benares and the fourth to the Himalayas; and the remaining four remained at this place, and employed themselves to their rigorous austerities.
