The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तत्स्पर्शामृतसिक्तोऽयं कदम्बतरुपुत्रकः ।
उत्सङ्ग इव चासीनो न यात्येव पुराणताम् ॥ २ ॥

tatsparśāmṛtasikto'yaṃ kadambataruputrakaḥ |
utsaṅga iva cāsīno na yātyeva purāṇatām || 2 ||

This young Kadamba tree, being verified by the ambrosial touch of the goddess, never becomes old, nor fades or withers; but ever remains as fresh as a child in the lap of her mother.
