The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.181.26

तेनेत्युक्ते मयाप्युक्तं भगवन्विद्धि ईदृशम् ।
न किंचिदावां बुद्धोऽपि कस्माज्जानासि न स्वयम् ॥ २६ ॥

tenetyukte mayāpyuktaṃ bhagavanviddhi īdṛśam |
na kiṃcidāvāṃ buddho'pi kasmājjānāsi na svayam || 26 ||

Upon his saying so, I replied to him saying, you sir, know all this and not we; say how is [it] that you being a sage and seer do not know yourself?
