The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

स्नातः पवित्रहस्तोऽसौ चक्रे जप्त्वाघमर्षणम् ।
फलेन पुण्यलब्धेन विटपाद्व्रतपारणम् ॥ ३९ ॥

snātaḥ pavitrahasto'sau cakre japtvāghamarṣaṇam |
phalena puṇyalabdhena viṭapādvratapāraṇam || 39 ||

Having then bathed himself, he made his offerings with his pure hands for the remission of his sins; and then with the fruits which he was fortunate to pluck from the tree, he broke the fast of his long lent.
