The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.180.36

तस्मिन्याते मया प्रोक्तं तस्य शाखातपस्विनः ।
श्रुतदृष्टानुभूताग्र्यवरदस्य विवेकिनः ॥ ३६ ॥

tasminyāte mayā proktaṃ tasya śākhātapasvinaḥ |
śrutadṛṣṭānubhūtāgryavaradasya vivekinaḥ || 36 ||

The Deity having departed, I accosted the ascetic hanging below the branch, and said to him I witnessed to day what I had heard from before, that the gods are ever propitious to their suppliants.
