The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

लम्बते तस्य शाखायां पुरुषः पावनाकृतिः ।
भानुर्भानाविव रश्मिगृहीतो ग्रथिताकृतिः ॥ १४ ॥

lambate tasya śākhāyāṃ puruṣaḥ pāvanākṛtiḥ |
bhānurbhānāviva raśmigṛhīto grathitākṛtiḥ || 14 ||

There hung suspended under one of its boughs, a man of a holy mien; who blazed as the resplendent sun pendent in the open air, by the cords of his wide extending beams and radiating rays.
