The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दीर्घाध्वना परिश्रान्तः सयत्न इव लक्ष्यसे ।
वदाद्य वदतां श्रेष्ठ कुत आगमनं कृतम् ॥ ५ ॥

dīrghādhvanā pariśrāntaḥ sayatna iva lakṣyase |
vadādya vadatāṃ śreṣṭha kuta āgamanaṃ kṛtam || 5 ||

The Brahman being well seated, I picked up many discourses with him from the vedanta, sankhya, and siddhanta philosophy, and when his weariness was gone, I made this question to him, saying:—
