The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.179.13

सहस्रमेकं भवति संविदां च तथा हि यत् ।
सायुज्ये चक्रपाण्यादेः सर्गैरेकं भवेद्वपुः ॥ १३ ॥

sahasramekaṃ bhavati saṃvidāṃ ca tathā hi yat |
sāyujye cakrapāṇyādeḥ sargairekaṃ bhavedvapuḥ || 13 ||

So is every body conscious of his being many, either consecutively or simultaneously at the same time; as we think of our multiformity in the different parts and members of our bodies.
