The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पृथ्व्यादिरहितोऽप्येष ब्रह्माकाशो निरामयः ।
अतद्वांस्तद्वदाभाति यथा स्वप्नानुभूतिषु ॥ ४० ॥

pṛthvyādirahito'pyeṣa brahmākāśo nirāmayaḥ |
atadvāṃstadvadābhāti yathā svapnānubhūtiṣu || 40 ||

The clear atmosphere of Divine Soul, which is devoid of earthy and other material substances; yet appears in their utter absence, to be possessed of them all, in the same manner as the human soul, sees many things in its dream, without having any of those things in itself.
