The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ऊर्म्यावर्तद्रवत्वादि शुद्धे जलघने यथा ।
तथेदं सर्गपर्यायं ब्रह्मणि ब्रह्म भासते ॥ ३४ ॥

ūrmyāvartadravatvādi śuddhe jalaghane yathā |
tathedaṃ sargaparyāyaṃ brahmaṇi brahma bhāsate || 34 ||

As fluidity, waves and whirlpools, are the inherent properties of pure water; such are the revolutions of worlds, but appearances on the surface of the Divine Mind, and have the Divine spirit of Brahma at their bottom.
