शुष्कतर्कहठावेशाद्यद्वाप्यनुभवोज्झितम् ।
कल्प्यते कारणं किंचित्सा मौर्ख्याभिनिवेशिता ॥ २४ ॥

śuṣkatarkahaṭhāveśādyadvāpyanubhavojjhitam |
kalpyate kāraṇaṃ kiṃcitsā maurkhyābhiniveśitā || 24 ||

It is the impudence of fools to broach any hypothesis of causality, either by their supposition, arrogance or in the heat of their debate.
