The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यतः स्याद्ब्रह्मणस्त्वन्यत्क्वचित्किंचित्कदाचन ।
तत्कारणविकल्पेन संयोगस्तस्य युज्यते ॥ ७ ॥

yataḥ syādbrahmaṇastvanyatkvacitkiṃcitkadācana |
tatkāraṇavikalpena saṃyogastasya yujyate || 7 ||

If there be anything whatever, which is supposed to be beside Brahma in its essence; it is then reasonable to suppose him as the cause of the same, which could not otherwise come to existence.
