The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आकाशरूपमजहदेव जीवस्ततः स्वयम् ।
अपश्यदहमित्येव रूपमाकाशरूपकम् ॥ १३ ॥

ākāśarūpamajahadeva jīvastataḥ svayam |
apaśyadahamityeva rūpamākāśarūpakam || 13 ||

The Lord thus became the living being, forsaking its vacuous form;and thought itself to become the ego, in its aeriform form.
