The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कारणं मौर्ख्यमेवास्य तच्चास्मादेव शास्त्रतः ।
किंचित्संस्कृतबुद्धीनां वाचितादेव शाम्यति ॥ ७२ ॥

kāraṇaṃ maurkhyamevāsya taccāsmādeva śāstrataḥ |
kiṃcitsaṃskṛtabuddhīnāṃ vācitādeva śāmyati || 72 ||

The cause of restlessness is ignorance only, which is altogether dispelled by the study of this sastra; and those whose minds are a little enlightened, have their composure from attending to the recital and preaching.
