The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
सर्गादौ स्वप्नसंवित्त्या चिदेवाभाति केवला ।
जगदित्यवभासेव ब्रह्मैवातो जगत्त्रयम् ॥ १ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
sargādau svapnasaṃvittyā cidevābhāti kevalā |
jagadityavabhāseva brahmaivāto jagattrayam || 1 ||

Vasishtha continued:—The Intellect alone glistened in the beginning, with its thought of creation, appearing as the vision of a dream before it. This was the representation of the three worlds, and a reflection of the light of Brahma Himself.
