The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

स्मृतिश्च संभवत्येव न कदाचन काचन ।
एषा लौकिकबुद्ध्या या सा सद्बुद्ध्या न विद्यते ॥ ९ ॥

smṛtiśca saṃbhavatyeva na kadācana kācana |
eṣā laukikabuddhyā yā sā sadbuddhyā na vidyate || 9 ||

There is therefore no such thing as reminiscence, at any time whatsoever; it is merely built on popular belief, and not upon the reason of wise men.
