The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.171.6

उत्पन्नमेव नैवातो मूर्तं दृश्यमिदं जगत् ।
वन्ध्यापुत्र इवात्यन्तमतोऽस्त्येव न दृश्यधीः ॥ ६ ॥

utpannameva naivāto mūrtaṃ dṛśyamidaṃ jagat |
vandhyāputra ivātyantamato'styeva na dṛśyadhīḥ || 6 ||

Therefore this formal and visible world, could not have sprung from it, as no child could ever be born of a barren woman. Hence there is nothing as the visible world, and the conception thereof must be entirely false.
