The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अस्य सन्ना समं स्कन्धे सर्वदैव महौजसः ।
विषयारिजये राज्ञो मैत्री मन्त्रप्रदायिनी ॥ २७ ॥

asya sannā samaṃ skandhe sarvadaiva mahaujasaḥ |
viṣayārijaye rājño maitrī mantrapradāyinī || 27 ||

That strong man has another wife named Maitri or friendship, whom he bears along with Samata on his either shoulder; and who advises him how to quell the enemies of his king's states.
