The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

लोकोपचारकं पूज्यं स्मितपूर्वाभिभाषणम् ।
कामोपशान्तं सद्रूपं परमार्थैककारणम् ॥ १३ ॥

lokopacārakaṃ pūjyaṃ smitapūrvābhibhāṣaṇam |
kāmopaśāntaṃ sadrūpaṃ paramārthaikakāraṇam || 13 ||

He is the well-wisher of men, and is therefore revered by them all;he speaks smilingly to all without any craving of his own, and bears the form of goodness only to all beings.
