The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यथा गन्धादयः पुष्पे गगने शून्यतादयः ।
यथा स्पन्दादयो वायौ तथा बुद्ध्यादयः परे ॥ १४ ॥

yathā gandhādayaḥ puṣpe gagane śūnyatādayaḥ |
yathā spandādayo vāyau tathā buddhyādayaḥ pare || 14 ||

As the odours of flowers fly about invisible in the open air, and as pulsation abides inherent in the wind; so the intellectual powers, are intrinsic in the very nature of the soul.
