The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.167.22

यथा संवेद्यते यद्यत्तथा तदनुभूयते ।
सद्वासद्वा भवत्स्वप्ने व्योम्नीव सदसच्च तत् ॥ २२ ॥

yathā saṃvedyate yadyattathā tadanubhūyate |
sadvāsadvā bhavatsvapne vyomnīva sadasacca tat || 22 ||

As a thing is known to be in its imagination, so it is impressed also in our conception of the same; and as anything appears either as real or unreal in the dream, we retain the like idea of it in our waking also.
