The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आदिसर्गात्प्रभृत्येव चिद्व्योमैवेत्थमाततम् ।
कचत्यात्मनि यत्तस्य बुद्धा तेनैव सर्गता ॥ २ ॥

ādisargātprabhṛtyeva cidvyomaivetthamātatam |
kacatyātmani yattasya buddhā tenaiva sargatā || 2 ||

It is from the beginning of creation, that the vacuous soul is thus diffused in itself; and the reflection which it casts in its own vacuity, the same passes under the name of this world or creation.
