The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यच्चातत्त्वज्ञविषयं तज्जानाति स एव तत् ।
वयं तु विद्मो नाहं त्वं नातत्त्वज्ञं न वस्तु तत् ॥ ४ ॥

yaccātattvajñaviṣayaṃ tajjānāti sa eva tat |
vayaṃ tu vidmo nāhaṃ tvaṃ nātattvajñaṃ na vastu tat || 4 ||

He is the same, that is known to the ignorant, as their objects of sense; but we do not recognize either ourselves or others, or the sensible objects of the ignorant as such.
