The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवाल्मीकिरुवाच ।
विपश्चिति वदत्येवं तद्वृत्तान्तमवेक्षितुम् ।
इव लोकान्तरं भानुः पादैर्दूरायतैर्ययौ ॥ १ ॥

śrīvālmīkiruvāca |
vipaściti vadatyevaṃ tadvṛttāntamavekṣitum |
iva lokāntaraṃ bhānuḥ pādairdūrāyatairyayau || 1 ||

Valmiki related:—As Vipaschit was going on saying these things, the sun wishing to put an end to his speech, proceed with his rapid strides to enlighten another world.
