223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.159.62

एवं नामैष चिद्धातुः कचत्येवं यदात्मनि ।
यस्येदं कचनं व्योम्नो रूपमप्रतिघं जगत् ॥ ६२ ॥

evaṃ nāmaiṣa ciddhātuḥ kacatyevaṃ yadātmani |
yasyedaṃ kacanaṃ vyomno rūpamapratighaṃ jagat || 62 ||

In this manner, is the substance of the Divine Intellect displayed in itself; and it is the vacuous spirit of God, that manifests this unsubstantial world in its own vacuity.
