The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इत्युक्ते तेन देवेन तदैव प्रतिभोदभूत् ।
ममायं हरिणोऽस्मीति वनेऽस्मिन्निति निश्चिता ॥ २१ ॥

ityukte tena devena tadaiva pratibhodabhūt |
mamāyaṃ hariṇo'smīti vane'sminniti niścitā || 21 ||

After the god had said so, I had the presentiment of being a deer in this forest, and entirely forgot my human nature, under my firm conviction of having become a beast.
