The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

व्याधः स्ववासनावेशं निवारयितुमक्षमः ।
जानन्नपि वरं पूर्वं वर्णितं समयाचत ॥ ६ ॥

vyādhaḥ svavāsanāveśaṃ nivārayitumakṣamaḥ |
jānannapi varaṃ pūrvaṃ varṇitaṃ samayācata || 6 ||

The huntsman being unable to resist the impulse of his longing, begged to obtain the very same boon of his god which the sage had predicted to him.
