The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सीमान्ते भूपतिः शत्रुर्विदूरथ इति श्रुतः ।
विद्यते यः प्रयत्नेन विना नाम न जीयते ॥ ८ ॥

sīmānte bhūpatiḥ śatrurvidūratha iti śrutaḥ |
vidyate yaḥ prayatnena vinā nāma na jīyate || 8 ||

You will find in the border of your realm, a certain lord of the land by name of Viduratha, who will rise as thy enemy, and whom it will be difficult for thee to quell.
