Yoga Vasistha [sanskrit]

223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.151.6

अभावमुपयाते ते यदैवं भवतस्तनू ।
स्वपतस्ते भ्रमवतः संविदेव विजृम्भते ॥ ६ ॥

abhāvamupayāte te yadaivaṃ bhavatastanū |
svapataste bhramavataḥ saṃvideva vijṛmbhate || 6 ||

In this manner the two bodies having disappeared, their existence remains in the conscious soul, as the memory of externals remains in the mind, at the insensibility of the body in the state of dreaming.
