223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.146.17

सत्तार्थ एव भूः प्रोक्तस्तस्मात्संजातमुच्यते ।
सर्गतो जात इत्युक्ते सन्सर्ग इति शब्दितम् ॥ १७ ॥

sattārtha eva bhūḥ proktastasmātsaṃjātamucyate |
sargato jāta ityukte sansarga iti śabditam || 17 ||

Now the meaning of Bhu is being, which expresses the sense of being born also, and the sarga meaning production or creation, it is same with being also.
