The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

गिरिवृष्टिर्झटित्येव कुतोऽपि समुपाययौ ।
उह्यमानवनाभोगशिखरग्रामपत्तना ॥ ४ ॥

girivṛṣṭirjhaṭityeva kuto'pi samupāyayau |
uhyamānavanābhogaśikharagrāmapattanā || 4 ||

It was soon followed by outpourings of rain water from the mountain tops; which bore away the woods and hills in the torrent.
