The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विचित्रं विपरीतं च व्यवहारं महानिशि ।
अह्नीव भास्करालोकं दुर्भेद्यं चाह्नि वा तमः ॥ ६५ ॥

vicitraṃ viparītaṃ ca vyavahāraṃ mahāniśi |
ahnīva bhāskarālokaṃ durbhedyaṃ cāhni vā tamaḥ || 65 ||

It sees the business of the daytime, carried on everywhere at night, the sun shining then as in the day time;and a thick darkness overspreading the face of the day.
