The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

क्षीरार्णव इवोड्डीनो नभश्चन्द्रोदयान्वितम् ।
सरांसि फुल्लपद्मानि कह्लारवलितानि च ॥ ९ ॥

kṣīrārṇava ivoḍḍīno nabhaścandrodayānvitam |
sarāṃsi phullapadmāni kahlāravalitāni ca || 9 ||

It seems to swim in a sea of milk, and to soar in the moonlight sky;it thinks it sees a limpid lake about it, filled with full blown lotuses and their blooming buds.
