223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.143.46

इत्येवं जगतां सन्ति कोटीनां कोटिकोटयः ।
परिज्ञातास्तु ता ब्रह्म केवलं दृश्यमन्यथा ॥ ४६ ॥

ityevaṃ jagatāṃ santi koṭīnāṃ koṭikoṭayaḥ |
parijñātāstu tā brahma kevalaṃ dṛśyamanyathā || 46 ||

In this manner millions and millions of worlds, are constantly rising before its sight; which appear to be so many visible phenomena in its ignorance; but which when viewed in their proper light, prove to be the display of One all-pervading Brahma only.
