यथा स्वप्नेषु दृष्टानां न प्राक्कर्म नृणां भवेत् ।
आदिसर्गेषु जीवानां तथा चिन्मात्ररूपिणाम् ॥ ४० ॥

yathā svapneṣu dṛṣṭānāṃ na prākkarma nṛṇāṃ bhavet |
ādisargeṣu jīvānāṃ tathā cinmātrarūpiṇām || 40 ||

As the persons appearing in our dream have no prior acts for their appearance; so were the living beings in their first formation, endued with pure understanding only.
