The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

गोमयान्नजलाम्ब्वग्निकाष्ठेष्टा कष्टसंचयी ।
इदं कार्यमिदं नेति पाशाभ्यां विवशीकृतः ॥ ३९ ॥

gomayānnajalāmbvagnikāṣṭheṣṭā kaṣṭasaṃcayī |
idaṃ kāryamidaṃ neti pāśābhyāṃ vivaśīkṛtaḥ || 39 ||

I was employed in providing my food and drink, and in procuring the fuel and cow-dung for fire; and remained entangled in the snare, of scrutinizing about what was right or wrong for daily observance.
